Amanda’s love of helping Seniors began early in life with her grandparents. She fondly remembers spending time playing card games (Rook and Rummy) and listening to their life stories. As their health began to fail, she became one of their caregivers. Amanda assisted with daily household management (doctor’s appointments, errands, transportation), care management, and end-of-life care.
During her life-long healthcare career, Amanda has held both clinical and administrative positions. She has worked as an insurance adjudicator for a long-term care pharmacy, a CNA in assisted living and long-term care facilities, a client service director for a home care agency, and an End-of-Life Doula. Amanda is highly experienced with Veterans and clients who have Alzheimer’s/dementia, cancer, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and neurological disorders (Parkinson’s/ALS).
A Shenandoah Valley native, Amanda lives in Rockingham County with her husband and 4 children. A true Appalachian at heart, she enjoys local history and being in nature while hiking and fishing.
