Finding the right retirement community is important. At Care is There Geriatric Care Management we often help clients explore their options and choose their new home, so we are familiar with local communities and residences and enjoy sharing them with you. This week, our spotlight is on Branchlands.
Branchlands is an independent living rental community offering studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments to senior citizens (55+ years of age). All units include a full kitchen and many have a balcony or patio. The floor plans range from 500 to 1,050 square feet. Included in residents’ monthly rent are: all activities; chef-prepared, full service dinners five days a week; brunch on Saturday; housekeeping, laundry; transportation services; maintenance; utilities; and Phillips Lifeline – a personal emergency response system.
The 26 acres is landscaped into picturesque walkways and gardens, and includes a peaceful lake. All of the apartments are found in the Manor House, which was first built in 1818 and still has the original floors. Residents have unhampered access to the dining room, large screen theatre, library and exercise room.
