This past May, Lauren Bond, Director of Client Services in Overland Park Office, collaborated with Todd Rasmussen, attorney and certified public accountant for his firm Estate Planning Kansas City, on the article “Estate Planning KC: How to help your parents when you cannot be there” for Shawnee Mission Post. In it, Rasmussen talks about care management and Aging Life Care in Kansas.
“Many people have never heard of Aging Life Care, but they may be familiar with care management or care coordination,” writes Rasmussen. “They are the same general concept. Care managers and coordinators help to fill the gaps in support for a senior that occur when a senior is beginning to encounter challenges living independently, but may not be ready for personal care or skilled home health, a care manager can be the perfect solution.”
In his article, Rasmussen explains the difference between a care manager and home health manager. He then shares Bond’s experience as an example of how care managers can help you and your aging loved ones age comfortably at home.
“We are fortunate to have several private care management companies here in the Kansas City area,” Rasmussen concludes, mentioning Bond’s Overland Park office of Care is There.
