Performing a home safety review is a very effective way to make aging in place more realistic. Preventing falls and injuries will help avoid hospitalizations, which often lead to residential care.
In this course we will use the home safety checklist produced by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to identify potential hazards in your loved one’s home.
We’ll also use advice from the Federal Trade Commission about how to choose reputable home repair professionals and avoid scams.
