One of the most difficult components of senior living is the constant worry over what comes next. Oftentimes, it is overwhelming to consider how many decisions have to be made in a short time-span, so that in the event of disability or death, all personal wishes and information are easy to access and understand.
Well, there’s a program for that: Ducks in a Row Services is the ultimate go-to organization. Their objective is to help each participant develop a timeline, create a plan for making decisions, and organize information through presentations, workshops, and individual and family consulting.
Ducks in a Row was founded by Mary Ann Stripling, Ph.D. Her many years of professional experience as both a teacher and a counsellor gave her the practical skills needed for end-of-life planning, while personal experience has provided knowledge and empathy. She says, “…before she died, my mother … told me her plans for the end of her life … when the time came for decision-making, it was much easier to carry out her wishes… I realized that I have a passion for motivating others to give the gift of planning for the end of life to their loved ones … a subject that many shy away from.”
Mary Ann’s goal is implied by her organization’s title: to help others get their Ducks in a Row! For more information on this wonderfully insightful program, contact Mary Ann at maryann@maryannstripling.com.
