During a recent check-up with her doctor, Bonnie* received a new prescription, filled it and started taking it just as prescribed. Gradually, her health deteriorated without her knowing. Thankfully, her Care is There Executive Assistant noticed something was wrong: Bonnie’s behavior and speech pattern had changed.
In order to uncover the cause of these changes, the Executive Assistant went through all of Bonnie’s prescriptions, making a list and tracking them. She discovered that Bonnie’s new prescription was similar to one prescribed by a different care provider. This can cause unplanned and unexpected side effects, much like the behavior and speech pattern changes Bonnie exhibited.
The Executive Assistant called Bonnie’s physician and requested a medication review. The physician looked at all the medications prescribed by Bonnie’s doctors and streamlined the prescriptions so that there were no longer any duplicates or conflicting doses. This ensured Bonnie had everything she needed to feel her best!
Plus, reviewing the medications and creating a tracking list not only cleared up the current confusion, but also set Bonnie and her Executive Assistant up to be able to better track and monitor future prescriptions, preventing similar situations from occurring.
And the best news: Bonnie is feeling better than ever!
