Martin* values his home and independence, but his family had concerns about how Martin would handle an emergency situation. Elissa McDonald, Martin’s Care is There Executive Assistant, learned about the family’s concerns, and stepped in to ensure Martin is prepared for the unexpected.
To do this, Elissa helped Martin shop for non-perishable food that he can keep in his home for those just in case moments. She also worked with Martin to plan out what he will do in an emergency, right down to where in his home he’ll store his emergency kit. His home is now stocked up with food, flashlights, and battery pack that will provide several hours of power, should Martin’s home or neighborhood lose power.
However, Care is There Executive Assistants know that planning for an emergency goes beyond what’s stocked at home.
Elissa reviewed with Martin his medication and healthcare providers lists. These lists ensure that, should he experience a medical emergency or if be unable to reach a pharmacy, he or those around him can make sure he receives the care and medications he needs. Together, they brainstormed all the ways Martin might need assistance and outlined a clean care plan for each instance.
Now, Martin is more confident in his ability to continue his independent lifestyle, and his family has peace of mind, knowing that Care is There is in his corner.
