Helping your elderly loved one aging in place comes with difficulties, not the least of which is ensuring they eat right. Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that specializes in providing hot meals to residents who are unable to cook for themselves. Their team of volunteers bring a meal to each client’s house at around noon from Mondays through Friday; they also provide social interaction and will check in on their clients. Their service has helped give peace of mind to the loved ones of their clients, who may not be able to check in every day.
