Rosalba Valentino creates beautiful new custom garments from treasured vintage clothing and fragments.
When I met Rose, I was impressed by her love of vintage fabrics and her interest in the stories behind the garments she transforms into new, wearable art. In my travels as a geriatric care manager I meet people who have lived extraordinary lives, all over the world, and own magnificent clothing they can no longer use. They would so appreciate the opportunity to recycle that clothing with an appreciative artist, especially if they are downsizing to a smaller home.
Rose can turn beloved garments into new creations that can be worn now, or she can utilize the fabrics and details to create decorative objects. How wonderful to have sofa pillows or a handbag made from the fabric of a ball gown or lace tablecloth!
If you know someone with garments that could be transformed: contact Rose, who would love to collaborate with you and your loved one. And be sure to tell her the stories!
