Medicare’s Open Enrollment will be open from October 15th to December 7, 2021. This is the perfect opportunity to review your coverage and ensure you and your loved ones are on the right Medicare plan. To help you prepare for open enrollment, Medicare has put together five very helpful tips. Read them in their article “Get ready! Medicare’s Open Enrollment starts October 15”.
What is Open Enrollment?
Medicare Health & Drug plans make changes each year; they can change cost, coverage, and providers and pharmacies in their network. When this happens, the plan holders – aka you and your family – may no longer receive the same coverage and benefits. It is very important to review your plan, so you can change it to fit your needs.
Your Health & Drug Plan sends you materials each fall. These materials outline all the benefits, costs, and network details that will be applicable in the coming year. During Medicare Open Enrollment, Medicare Health & Drug Plan holders can review and change their plan, as needed, for the coming year.
All changes made during the 2021 Open Enrollment will come into effect as of January 1st, 2022.
