Care is There Geriatric Care Management is operated by a group of like-minded people whose goal is to provide quality care and access to the necessary resources. Every month, we’re shining the light on the people who make Care is There what it is – a group united by that common goal.
Our seventh installment of Team Spotlight features Suzanne Brower, one of our talented lifestyle coordinators. We had a chance to ask Suzanne what it’s like being a lifestyle coordinator for Care is There:
How long have you been working at Care is There?
I started working with Care is There in October 2012.
What do you do at Care is There?
When I started, my client assignment was with a gentleman living independently who was transitioning into care and supervision, but did not have any local family to see to his transition. I aided him with the transition by ensuring the right care providers were on hand.
Currently, I work with two clients in care facilities, one with family in the area and one without.
What is the most satisfying thing about working at Care is There?
Most satisfying thing about working at Care is There has been the real difference I have made in the lives of my clients and the real affection I have developed for them. I have had an opportunity to guide them into medical care that, if missed, could have made a real impact on their lives. We are also in a position to be the information lifeline to our clients’ families, who value our input.
