Navigating the world of care giving – whether you’re taking care of your elderly parent or planning for your own care down the road – can be a difficult process. You want to find an agency that truly cares about you and will do everything in their power to help you live your life to the fullest. One such agency is T&L Companions, Inc.
T&L Companions, Inc. is a locally owned company that has been dedicated to delivering compassionate and quality companion care and personal care to our community for over twenty years. Their care givers undergo skills assessments throughout the interview process and are constantly learning, with 12 hours of continuing education each year. This makes for a skilled, knowledgeable staff that is available for as little as 2 hours and as much as 24 hours for the short or long term.
How does it work?
When you first start with T&L Companions, Inc., you will visit with a Registered Nurse. During this evaluation, which is provided at no cost to you, the nurse will assess your situation, speaking with the client and the client’s loved ones to develop the best plan for the health and well being of the client. This plan will take into consideration not only the tasks that the client may find difficult – such as cleaning house or driving to an appointment – but will also aim to include activities the client enjoys – such as playing canasta with friends.
T&L Companions, Inc. offers two types of care: companion care and personal care. Companion care includes accompaniment to appointments, shopping trips and errands; travel to outings; chores around the house such as light housekeeping and meal preparation; and also medication reminders. Personal care includes everything under companion care, with the addition of grooming, bathing, dressing and feeding, and assistance with daily activities.
Where can they be found?
