TRIAD works at the local level to improve the quality of life for senior citizen by providing an active exchange of information between local law enforcement and seniors. Our local TRIAD is comprised of the Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office, the Charlottesville City Sheriff’s Office and dedicated volunteer senior citizens all working together to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly.
The Albemarle/Charlottesville TRIAD presents Senior Safety Seminars throughout the year. Â Seminar topics include Senior Home Safety, Scam Awareness, Gadget Fairs, Safe-Shopping on the Internet, Storm Preparedness, Gang Awareness, and Elder Abuse Awareness. The programs are presented free of charge to interested senior groups and organizations.
To schedule seminars, contact Jim O’Kelley, Charlottesville/Albemarle TRIAD-Chairperson, by calling the Albemarle Sheriff’s office at (434) 972-4001.
